Go to SConFire.com and post that question on their Forum under Horry County (Region 4). You'll get more responses on there from people in Horry County.
Here... here's the link: http://www.sconfire.com/forum/
Another option is to post it on The Watchdesk under the Horry County section. That'll get some responses too.Do it because you love it, not because you love being seen doing it.

Horry County has had continuous hiring ever since they consolidated back in '99. They lost many medics through the process and due to the rapid growth of that area, they have not been full staff since. Your odds of getting hired are good. I worked there in the mid 90s, I was born and raised in Myrtle Beach. Get out west of the waterway and you will see a lot of trauma and fire. As the previosu poster said, go to sconfire, as they post pics there all the time plus you can get more information.
By the way, for any that want to know...its pronounced O Ree County or Oar-ee county, not WHorey county...lol.

Give me a PM and I should be able to provide you with email addresses of a couple of Horry County Firefighters. 3 Guys left my volly company a couple of years ago and now work there. They like it, but like any other job, it has it positives and negatives.

Anybody need living quarters?
My cousin bought a house in Longs and isn't going to move there now. So he's looking for a renter or selling it. He also has a condo in Garden City that is beautiful and fully furnished for rent.
Thank you,
