Firefighter/MICT - Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department. Anticipated Hire Date: March 19, 2007. Applicants applying for Firefighter/MICT must be a current Kansas Certified Emergency Medical Technician and currently enrolled in a Kansas or National Registry Mobile Intensive Care Technician program; or have a current certification as a Kansas Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) or current National Registry Certification as a Paramedic. Must have current ACLS Certification. Must possess Kansas Medical Intensive Care Technician Certification (KS MICT) within one year from the date of hire. Applicants with the National Registry Certification must complete the conversion process with the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services for Certification as a Kansas Mobile Intensive Care Technician within 45 days from the conditional offer of employment. As a continued condition of employment, applicant must maintain a Kansas Medical Intensive Care Technician Certification and ACLS Certification. The approximate starting salary: $2,892.62 per month with Kansas or National Registry MICT certification. Applicants possessing Kansas EMT certification and currently enrolled in a KS or National Registry MICT program approximate starting salary: $2,515.70/mo.
