DCFD recruit class

Has anybody heard anything about the start date of the next recruit class? I have heard that it will start sometime in October.

They were saying that the class would start on Oct.2, the first day after the fiscal year. But if thats the case, there is no longer a 2-week notice window as the 2nd is in 10 days.

I have not heard anything back as of yet.

Are you guys hearing this from DCOP?
Or are you hearing it from Recruitment?
Or is there another source?

(I am just trying to see how credible the sources are)

What did the letter say? Was it a tenative employment notification based on passing medical and psych?

Yeah... basically says you're qualified for the position of Firefighter/EMT and the DCOP will contact you with an official job offer. Did you get one too?

Yeah, I got that about 3 weeks ago....... right before I took the medical and psych.

That's not the same one. The letter you're talking about was a conditional job offer. That was given before the med/psych. The one I'm talking about says that I passed the psych and med and am qualified for the position.

Just called the recruitment office today. Nothing new. No firm date yet.

Did they issue a final ranking number? If so, what is everyones rank?

Also, how long did it take to get psych results? Medical?

There is no final ranking number. Your ranking number is what you placed on the written. Everything after that is just pass/fail. The next test isn't until at least 2008
