Jobs in West Central Florida?

I was told during Paramedic training that jobs were everywhere in Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough counties because of the drop plan. So far I am unable to get even an interview because no one is hiring. Especially in Pinellas county, we were told 150 firefighters were going to retire? Does anyone from this area know what is happening?

hey rm im also in palm harbor- im not quite sure of the fire openings in pinellas- i recently visited palm harbor fire dept and they took my name and number down and said they would send me info for taking the test- they said they were going to hire 3 new guys- havent heard from them yet,but if u havent done so go to the station on west lake rd and ask them about it- as far as hillsbourough county i know they have a continuous recruitment for fire medic trainee if you arent a medic yet that is of course-if your interested in working in the orlando orange county area the website to visit is WWW.fireacademy.org it has all job openings in that area
