I'm preparing for the CPAT, and i'm told that the reason that I can not run is because I have somthing called shin splints. When I run for any long distance, I get a pain in my shins. I am told that they are able to be fixed somehow. Can anyone tell me what this is, and how to get rid of them?

I'm no expert but you will only be walking on the stairmaster 3 minutes 20 seconds there is no running allowed except in the hose drag. The only pain I had was in my thighs after the stairmaster.Just my two cents! Good luck , don't give up if this is your dream, I didn't and I'm starting my dream job on Aug.4th!
