they took a job just like others have taken in other states or depts. Doesn’t make them any different if you ask me.
They not only never guaranteed these guys jobs as firefighters, but there’s only one medic working as an FSA in the camps, and the County needs medics. So while it sucks to hear, non-medics aren’t a priority right now.
They’ve also only been in those FSA spots for like 14 months. They’re not the best when it comes to being in shape, none of them have been on a campaign fire, and the entire time they’ve been there, they’ve been asking when they’re going to go to the academy.
Hard to get sympathy from guys that spent almost a decade in the camps before getting hired as a firefighter.

Guys from the FFT list that took FSA job offers are butthurt that they haven’t been hired as firefighters yet, so are trying to sue the County, saying they deserve final offers before anyone not in the camps gets one.

AV74 I was at the previous orientation too at the 1300 one. Didn’t receive an offer and from what I know not all have been sent out.
From what they said in orientation the 46 that didn’t receive an offer for 170 Del Valle will be in 171 Pomona in the fall but no start date yet.

I attended orientation but didn’t receive an offer. Does anyone know if they have all been sent out? And any clear idea of what happens to those of us who attend and didn’t receive an offer? I assume we just hold tight for 171.
