Right on. Didn't I see there were multiple test days though? I wonder how many of the 900+ actually showed up or will show up for their test. I know a bunch of people signed up for the practice session I was in but didnt come. Hey, just making the odds better for me.

resindy judging from the Facebook post from Noblesville, 478 actually took the test on the 26th. When I signed up for the written, there were only 2 sessions available. Morning and afternoon so I assume they only did 1 day of testing. There were multiple days for the practice, so that?s probably where you saw that.Last edited by xMuDdBoUnDx; 01-31-2019, 02:47 PM.

Good for us though but yeah I was thinking no way that could be everyone. Well hopefully we'll hear something soon about interviews! I think they said mid-february.
I feel pretty confident in that written so hopefully some good news for an interview soon. Now back to the waiting game, lol. Good luck to you!

I?m also moving on, and one of my co-workers her husband is moving on as well, but last she knew he was thinking of backing out of this because he has an uncle who claims it?s a sure thing he can get on at Indy, so who knows on that end. I went to the prep session on January 22nd, and the person from TPS said that there were over 1000 applicants, 650 invites were sent to test. She also said that there was going to be a cutoff for interviews. She wouldn?t say what the score would be, but seemed to imply that it was a higher than average score than most departments they do testing for. She said that there was only going to be one round of interviews and there was only going to be ONE panel. I guess last time they had two panels. If I had to guess on the low end 120 interviews and on the high end maybe 180? That?s assuming they interview for eight total hours per day. But how many are actually going to schedule interviews? I mean 650 invites sent out and 478 test, from an original pool of over 1000 applicants. It?s an honor just to get this far, actually.

Moving on as well. Have a friend who?s moving on too said last time there was a panel and then a chiefs interview. Curious to the way it will all play out. Anyone know whether they combine written and interview? Or just base off interview score?

I talked to a company officer during the Christmas gift delivery for CFD in December, he said that if they didn?t get the truck company approved they needed 30 to 40, if they got the truck company approved Carmel needed double. Said if he had to guess, 20 to 30 each for the other departments. My wife works for the AG and one of her attorneys, her husband works for Westfield and said they really need to get people in. I did hear Carmel got the truck company approved, so I?m going to guess they need at least 100. But there?s been no official number so far. They?ve had a few retirements lately, and probably people will try to transfer laterally to IFD or other departments. They also said that other departments will pull from this list too.
