Certifications don't mean anything. There is someone who got the second email and only has FF 1/2

I heard today from a reliable source that any certifications you have did not play a factor in your score. It was strictly based off your written and oral. Depending on individual department needs will determine whether or not they will weigh a candidate more with certs. Also was told they are not aware of any of the departments contacting anyone as of yet.

Considering that all four departments just started their last hiring class off of the 2017 list (which is now closed) at the beginning of March, I?m guessing they won?t be doing much of anything until sometime later this year.

            Exciting news fellas/ladies!

Don?t have much details for you guys since I have been informed of very little, but I have been received a conditional offer from one of the departments.

The email was received Monday and stated to have all documents (background check, formal application, and conditional offer agreement) completed and returned by the 17th of this month. Also, one of the emails I have received suggested this is a slow process, which made me feel that the next class for this department could be months down the road (just a thought, not a certainty).

Remember, this is just for one department.

Had a combined score of 92.88% while I have an active CPAT and FF1/2. EMT-B course is completed but still have to pass NREMT.

Any prayers are appreciated that I pass all tests/checks from here on out!

Good luck to all of you and I?ll be sure to inform you if I hear anything more.

According to social media for Carmel Fire, their last round of recruits from the old list finished their FF 1/2 training yesterday. Their EMT training is next, I think it's 8 weeks long (Carmel and Noblesville run the same program which is like 14 weeks of FF 1/2 and 8 weeks of EMT), so I'm guessing that if anyone of us are being hired by Carmel they'll be reaching out in the next few weeks.

For Noblesville, 1st recruit class from this process won?t start until August. Believe they are lined up with Carmel since Noblesville?s latest class is to finish training at that time also

Good information to know. I figured that they would be doing a class in August and then again in March since that seems to be what their schedule is lined up for.

                              Appreciate it.

on a side note, I had a pre polygraph interview Friday. Not sure if anyone has taken a polygraph or been asked a series of 162 questions regarding your personal life, but be prepared for one hell of a storm. Every bad decision one can make in a lifetime...shared to the department holding an available job over your head. Tough week and interview for me!
