When I took it, there was basic math/reading comprehension / etc. The one thing I do remember is the section that tested your personality and consistency. One question I vividly remember was a picture of a man playing a guitar. The question stated "What is this man feeling?" A. happy B. satisfied C. Joy D. xxxxxx Those may not be the exact answers, but thats the jist of it. Some really odd questions based on pictures. Other than a few of those, it was straightforward. Lots of situational questions. Good luck.Fire Service Interview questions

JT Fire 2000: Congratulations on breaking the confidentiality agreement that you signed by giving a candidate a specific question that was on the exam. Way to go buddy.
firefighter973: It was a general knowledge type of test that was heavy on situational questions, math, reading comprehension, spelling, mechanical aptitude, etc... Touch up on those areas and you will do fine. Good luck!

Can't answer the hiring question but the next step is to simply wait. The departments will now be able to access your scores and send out letters asking you to apply (at least that is what has happened for me in the past). I saw on the DRCOG website that you can email the departments and let them know you took the test, I've never done it and really wouldn't feel comfortable doing it anyway.Last edited by ljm; 06-13-2011, 12:29 AM.

After you receive your results there IS something you can do while you wait. I asked a DRCOG administrative assistant what she would recommend I do, and she replied
"Good Luck in finding a job - - don’t forget to write a one-page letter to the departments that you want to work with - - tell them your score on the test and list your certifications and tell them why they need to hire YOU - - again one page – no emails – you want to have a piece of paper in front of their faces!! "
I will be preparing a customized letter to each department, and sending it in with an updated resume. It sounds like the departments appreciate these letters, and are expecting to receive them from motivated candidates.
