I see the county just recently hired... I am just wondering if any of the guys on here are from L.A. City and if they know when they are going to hire next? Thanks

City has been on a hiring freeze for a year or two now. Anytime I come across any captain or fire inspector, I always ask if they've heard anything, nothing concrete, just rumors.

There are some big changes in the coming fiscal year to deal with LA's budget, a bunch of engine companies are being shut down, and a bunch of stations are upgrading to the ALS rescue. What this means? Who knows? I'll be waiting eagerly however.
