Anyone know much about the department apart from whats on the net? Do they look after their brothers?

I got to the Chiefs interview with West Sac back in 2008 and did several ride alongs during the process. Everyone I met was really cool, very supportive, a great bunch of guys. A few of their people are instructors at the Regional Fire Academy I went to in Sacramento and they were great, so I have nothing but good things to say about them.
