Tempe/Chandler/Scottsdale AZ

Hey All -

Participated in the joint testing almost a year ago. I know Chandler already got what they needed out of the process, but was just curious as to if anybody knew anything about the other two departments and what their plans are. Any sort of feedback would be much appreciated, and yeah, obviously waiting to hear some good news from Phoenix as well, just as about 4000 other people probably are...

Both aren't hiring anytime soon. Scottsdale might hire next year, Tempe is probably a couple years away.

Yeah, I know Tempe has some guys retiring this year and next year. As for Scottsdale they're saying at the earliest, 2012.

So much for Tempe hiring from that tri-city testing process. Last hope is Scottsdale now.

Yea no kidding, i'm not holding my breath for any department i've test with here, it's getting a little tedious...

saw it a couple days ago. pretty disappointing to say the least...

looks like it comes down to scottsdale now, but who knows anything about that process. anybody have any information?

talked to a few guys (talked to a capt. about it 30 minutes ago actually) scottsdale isnt going to hire from the tri-city process.

I heard the same thing too. They took some hard budget crunches. Almost went to 3 man crews.
