Who's taking Mesquite's test on the 26th? I'm studying hard for it.

I'm actually considering the prospect. However, I live in New Jersey and think it may be a bit too much of a drive. I do think that I'm going to have to branch out as NJ and FDNY departments have too many legal hurdles and political issues to hire meritoriously in the near future.

Man that 6019 stuff is kinda over the top. I've taken lots (over 30) of fire tests and very few have anything to do with job related knowledge. Tests are either general knowledge (up tp 12th grade stuff at most) or common sense it shouldn't be in court.

Good luck man. I've been hitting the books pretty hard- I think there will be a lot of people there, so the test scores will need to be pretty high.

I will be there. Yes there will be a lot of folks taking the exam.
From research, it looks as though you need to score 95+ on the written to have a chance.

            good luck all.

Curious how they score these. Especially all the questions at the end the strongly agree to strongly disagree ones.

How do you get the .75 or whatever?
And they said tiebreakers are sorted by "lot"
                    What does that mean?

I think the partial percentage credit comes from having a weird number of questions. It's not easy like the 100 question quizzes where 1 question = 1 percent.

On the tie breakers, I think they randomly select the ranking order. When I took Garland's that's how they said it was - if 5 people scored 96%, they would just randomly choose who was the 1,2,3,4, and 5.
