Does anyone know what the highest rank they are inviting to take the cpat

Anyone have insight on how many they usually hire for an academy?

Also, for the PAT it say wear clothing suitable for physical activity, so I'm assuming sweatpants are ok? The only reason I ask is that the people in the video are wearing black slacks, though I'm sure they are pf&r firefighters.

I'm ranked 71, and I have'nt recieved a letter or email pertaining to a scheduled cpat. All I've recieved was the mass email of the vol. cpat pactices. I'm quessing next round maybe?

I would make sure they have your correct mailing address. I'm not sure why they are only mailing out the notices and times for the PAT. You would think that in this day and age an email would be more reliable. Too many hands touch the US mail. I'm shocked mine made it to Miami. Good Luck!

I think they are sending them out in groups depending on the date of your PAT. Those with the early dates seemed to get them last week and beginning of this week from what I have seen on this forum. I have a mid October date and I got mine the middle of this week. Just be patient I am sure it will come.

It's been a quiet couple of weeks on the Portland Fire House Forum! How's everyone doing on the practice PAT? I'm not going to get a chance to practice out there before my test on the 8th. Is there any other news or rumors out there? Are they still planning on hiring the first class for Feb 2012? Anyone know how many?

If you are from out of town, where are you guys staying? Taking the PAT on the 8th, but flying in on the 6th and out on the 10th.

I'm flying in from Miami with my wife and baby. We have friends and family that live in Portland. My test is also the 8th. I fly in on the 6th and leave on the 10 as well. PM me if you want to meet up.

Good! Took it a bit slower than I did in practice to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. The group at my time slot seemed pretty strong, doubt any of them had much trouble with it.

Felt Good! Different than the PAT's I was used to taking out here on the East Coast, but felt good. I also took my time to make sure I didn't do anything stupid to fail. All the guys in my group looked solid. The funny thing was....not one of the 8 guys in my group were from Oregon. I wonder how many of the 200 will go on to the Chief's interview?

How long have the PATs been taking to go through the entire process? The email said 1-2 hours, is that accurate? I booked my return flight for Saturday afternoon and I want to make sure I have enough time to make it back to the airport. Thanks for the help.

You'll probably be there for about an hour, I'd plan on two just to be safe though since you're flying back out.
