  • Indiana PERF

When taking the medical exam what exactly is the definition of an excludable condition? Is it something perf will not cover if you try to retire with that condition or does it mean of you have one of those conditions you will not be accepted into the perf program. Which means no job.

I could be wrong, but I do not believe it means no job. It may mean if you sustain an injury/illness on the job related to your "excludable condition" you may not be elgible for certain benefits.

I would actually call them and ask them. When I lived/worked in Indiana they were always very helpful with any questions I had.

Thanks for your help. Every time I look it up information overload with classes uses and references to other Indiana codes.

          Update

Just a quick update. Talked to fire dept. today. They said all my paperwork looked good and now they were waiting on one other person papers to come in. After that it goes to a board for review. Thanks for the help.
