I am currently on a board to review the way we interview potential firefighters. We currently accept and application then they get invited to interview with the hiring board (this board is made up of the Chief, Deputy Chief, Capt., 3 Fire Fighters and the Association President). The hiring board then asked random question to the applicant. If they pass this portion we then do a background and driving records check.
I was wondering how some other Volunteer Fire Departments handled this process.
