How am I looking so far?

I was recently talking to my chief after a call and he brought up that I should try testing for some smaller/mid-size departments, anyone I could find. I would just like some opinions from my background.

-18 years old, going on 19
Certs
-Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician
-Hazmat Ops
-2/4 modules for my FF1 (have trouble getting the last 2 done with school and work)
-Rope Rescue
-Clandestine Labratory Awareness

Thinking about taking a EMT-B course when I get the time.

I don't know what part of the country you're in and what the requirements are for that area, but I would MAKE TIME to take this class.

Agreed. Most definitely you will need some medical training. If anything it will make you look great if you get your paramedics.

Take the EMT as soon as possible. One college semester is all it takes. You will benefit greatly from testing as much as possible as soon as possible. You're young and doing the "hard work" to get picked up now will pay off huge for you.

Thanks for the replies. do you think my age would be an issue? The vast majority of departments I have looked at have a minimum age requirement of 18, but I have rarely heard of a someone getting hired at 19-20 years old.
