Thanks GRNFT, your information has a solid track record, I have heard both of these possibilities but you know how the rumor mill is.

Until the "thanks for trying out, but no dice" email comes out there is a chance.

7 of the 17 may come from the EMT class that SFD has sponsored a (very) lucky few to attend.

Heard 2nd hand through reliable source that Personnel is still working on some things for the Feb 14 RC 100 class so calls may be delayed a bit. Makes sense as they are sending out written scores and scheduling first oral boards for the 2013 test. I'd say hang in there a few more weeks on this one, guys. The 17 number came from training, so sounds pretty solid. They will always have multiples of 4 + 1. So sounds like 4 companies of 4 plus an extra body in case someone bails. Only 175 or so went to background and around 50 have already been hired. Leaves around 125 people for the remaining spots and that's worst case scenario if some haven't moved on elsewhere or have been passed by already. Not horrible odds. Hang in and good luck.

So it seams class 100 has been chosen. Only have a class of 14 right now. They were having a hard time filling the class for people failing backgrounds, no emt, or medical, or already been hired. There were people who failed the medical who passed it now who got a chance and possibly retreads from RC 99. I know of qualified candidates who were on the list who didn't get a call so it doesn't make too much sense to me. Keep at it everyone and hope you guys get in RC 101 of this next list.
