Getting Started in Texas

Some background,

I have a Class B Misdemeanor for evading arrest in 1998 on my record.
Prior recreational use of pot, last used in 1998. Other than that I have a clean record with a BBA in management. I am going to attend EMT/Paramedic school in January then go to the Academy.

All that said, will I have a chance of getting hired with my background???

It will be city by city some will not care some will

Check city web sites some have the qualifiers on them
Also check the commission web site some of the notices have the qualifiers on them

I am sure there are more details to the charge in 98 and that can influence a cities decision
