    Check out the county website:
The Arlington County Fire Department will open the application process up on Nov. 5-18, 2010. Please pass the word to anyone you know who may be interested in working with us! The Recruit School is slated to start July 2011.

I see the point was to make people aware that the application period is coming up. Get you stuff ready so when it does open you can make your move and get the application in.

Of course csvt18, you may cancel your run!

Joel and Andy were from the Alexandria VA fire department.

Not according to firerecruit.com, hoss. The application period opens November 5th. It pays to have access to sites like firerecruit.com because they almost always post job announcements before the fire dept. doing the hiring updates their website.
