Finding work in the Metro Atlanta area

I currently live in South Georgia but need to move back home (NE Atlanta) to be closer to family. I am having trouble finding any departments that are currently hiring. It seems that I’ve missed about 3 large departments that have had openings within the last 4-6 months. I currently have no certifications but given that I need to move, I find myself in a position to fulfill a live long dream. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
