The first part of the LCFR agility test will be running up and down our training tower 3 or 4 times with a 75lb vest.

Maybe it was MoCo that wouldn't take LoCo's CWH test(it was a few years ago, I can't remember).

I'm assuming they are doing the whole test in the highbay instead of Janelia since the prop they just finished in is there as well?

            Nada..

Am I crazy for going into this with no fire/emt background?

The PAT test will probably be in the middle of Nov so I'd assume you should hear something about the written very soon.

You aren't crazy. There are plenty of folks who get hired with no background. Depending on how you look at it, you have no bad fire/EMT habits to break or learn the LCFR way. Bad side is there is a LOT to learn.

I'd assume the saying often repeated during recruit school, "attention to detail", would apply to them.

I imagine Mader is correct. It's the first part of weeding people out I guess. For those that did not complete the application as directed, take it as a lesson learned and make sure you pay attention to detail in the future when submitting applications.

That is exactly what I was thinking when I was filling it out.

Just got the packet in the mail (10/14) and I live quite the distance away. Looks like the physical isn't first-still have to take the written first.

                          ***update***

I received information about the test date from Loudoun county today via mail. It says if you recently took a test then you can use their score, or test again (Montgomery County NOT included). Did you all get your info? Did anyone who DID NOT send their additional questioner get accepted to the test?

I didnt receive anything in the mail yet. I completed both parts of the application process. I'll give it another couple days and then call. I think my mailman is dyslexic because there have been several occasions I have received mail for "215" when my address is "212" so Im sure he's delivered some of my mail to someone else before.

Did the letter you received have the test date?

You are correct. Being that only 250 applicants completed the questionnaire AND passed the screening process, it was decided that the written test would be done first.

If you got a letter to attend the written test, you have a pretty good shot at getting hired as long as you pass all the steps.
