Does anyone know when Dallas or Houston will be giving firefighter exams?

Try using a simple search engine as Google to look up the city you have interest in. Also there are alot of fire dept hiring websites that either have a free sample of listings or for a small fee you can become a member and get a full listing.

I would think that Dallas is in a freeze like state due to funds but the DFD page is allways good for their testing info. HFD page is also very informative.

I work in Dallas for private EMS and you would think that with all of their financial issues and budget cuts they wouldn't be hiring but it seems like whenever we are dropping off a patient at Parkland there are always a couple of new Dallas Fire medic trainees there. I talked to one today who was just hired in the last 4 months, although I never saw a posting for it. They may be pulling from a previous hire list...

I think Dallas has tested for the year and they are proposing furloughs for fd. So more then likely not hiring till next year

And think Houston is trying to get a class going off an old test
