I know this thread has been no talk for a while but those of you who got jobs any idea of your ranking i was told i was ranked 9/10 for ranking not sure that mean or how many are above me and I know they hired like 86 already. Someone said they are keeping a list until 2/14? Hope they do another academy came from California all test phases and even when there were storms in Texas around the Holidays and spent 650 plus on a one way plane ticket becaus they cancelled my flight the day before my interview.

Anything new about when Metro will be opening up the hiring process again? It's my understanding the list expires in 2014.

List won't expire in February 2014 but they may abolish it sometime between July and December and start a new list. And also they may have a new process from hiring. Where did I get this info from. Human resources you can call them yourself. I actually talked to a captain that works with nashville fire he claims they may send out notices at the end of this month but he isn't sure about that. All I can say is keep your contact info up to date, peace

I have a question, do you have to be EMT certified or do they train you because I've read multiple things that have said otherwise.

They do train you but having your emt before you get there is a plus, and cuts your academy time in half.
