Suppose someone joins your explorer group (or whatever you may call it) and there is no turnout gear that fits. It's either wayyy too big or bursting at the seams when they put it on. How do you handle this?

borrow gear from a neighboring department. Thats what almost happened to me, but then they found the jacket size i needed in the spares and i had a full set.

Well, we have a very large supply of gear since many regular members have been refitted and reissued gear over the past 4 years. However, if a junior member does not have gear that fits properly and has put in enough time with the department, he/she will be fitted and new gear will be ordered.

We would check around local firehouses that have the same gear we have and if we need to then we will make a special order to buy gear that fits.
