What are some of you guys goals for later on in life.. What do you plan on doing after high school? Do you wanna continue with the fire dept? What. Tell us about it...

I definately want to continue in firefighting, i plan on going to college for my fire science degree, than hopefully i will be able to make it onto a full time department... vollie would be okay for a while but i really would like to be a career firefighter.I havent failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.

after high school i plan on going into the air force to be a firefighter...after 4 years i will have all the education and training i need and then go on and become a paid firefighter in a city.. id like to do to boston but i really dont care as long as im a firefighter-JEFF G

after high school i want to either go to college and major in fire science or enlist into the army. after all that i plan on applying for the fdny.if my luck is good i hope to be assigned to ladder 101.if the city job doesnt work then i want to be a paid firefighter somewheres and on my days off i can respond to a volunteer firehouse.Comment

After high school I plan on going to MCC for Fire Science for 2 years. Then hopefully get into FDNY and be a vollie also.Comment

Hopefully, I can join FDNY (common goal here huh), after I do a stint in the USAF in either the fire dept, or the security forces. then if i cant join FDNY, Ill work for Melbourne Fire-EMS, which is who I am an explorer for now.AJ, MICP, FireMedic

i want to go into the Military after High School, either the Army or Navy. Probably the Navy as a Damage Controlman. And then probably come back to town and go into the department again.Firefighter, Volunteering since Oct 2001

No college for me, not yet anyways. I plan on applying to DCFD, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, here in Waynesboro, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. Hopefully I'll get picked up at any of those, preferably either VB, DC, or here, but at this point I'll take ANYTHING!These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates.
