Chicago Paramedic

Does anyone know how you can become a Chicago Paramedic. I am Paramedic in Colorado and on Chicagos List but my number is 3,893. I would appreciate any information that is out there.

From what I've heard, it's a civil service position and you'll have to wait until they announce the next testing opputunity.

All you have to do to become a single role medic for CFD is be a paramedic and put your name on the list whenever they open it up. They did it about a year ago, if I remember right, and I think I heard they didn't get all that many. No idea how often it opens up. I can try and ask around.
