    Isaiah 43:1-2

    1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
    “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
    2 When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
    and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
    When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.

        I went through Collin County for fire and EMT school from last year. There fire academy was hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. Everything from the instructors to training, everything was great. About 3 or 4 weeks out upon finishing the fire portion if you are not already an EMT they will secure you a spot in the upcoming EMT class (which is a day class day, 3 days a week). I thought the EMS portion could have used a little work but needless to say everyone passed except one bonehead that just did not apply himself. I have heard good and bad things about EMTS but mostly about how they have such a high pass rate. Either programs are good in there own ways but it all comes down to how bad you want it. The state of Texas requires any paid firefighter to be at least an EMT-Basic so thats the first step.

        Good luck...any questions send me a private message
