Wakenhut switched over to sallyport. Their is also contractors like Dyncorp i believe and ITT, KBR, Vinnel and some other ones. All i can say is just keep searching look at previous forums about guys that talk about all these other contractors and see who is hiring.

Check out kbrjobs.com and search logcap jobs. Last time I knew, they had about 25 positions advertised: Firefighters and Crew Chiefs. KBR has USMI-Central (where the US embassy is) and there's about 5 stations there, at least that's what was there when I left. They've got a good Chief there now and the crews are pretty good too. The FF's there work 48's (48 on, 24 off) They still get a lot of incoming there as well.

Hate to be the bad guy here but people, do some research on these companies to determine what is required. It has been mentioned many times over on all the threads of what is needed but since I am with ITT not at ITT, I will post what the basics are:

All need to be IFSAC, ProBoard and/ or DoD (most states are one or more) - if your certs (no matter how many you have) are not one of the above then do not waste your time applying. Find somewhere to convert them but here is the basic for ITT for when I was hired last summer:

                  Firefighter I
                  Firefighter II
                  HazMat Ops
                  Driver Operator - Pump
Driver Operator - ARFF - having this will possibly accelerate your process, sometimes they do hire people with out this one, depends on mission.
                  CPR
Secret clearance would be a huge plus as well (they give interim clearances but may take longer to process)

Additional certs for FF/ DO that do not hurt:
                  D/O MWS
                  Rescue Tech
EMT - B or 1st Responder or higher
                  ICS 100, 200, 300, 400
                  NIMS 700, 800

                  For Crew Chief:
                  The above plus,
                  HazMat IC
                  Fire Officer 1
                  Fire Instructor 1
                  Fire Inspector 1

Tele Comm 1/2 were not required because ITT hires people for dispatcher only positions, also hires for inspector spots too.

For all the other companies out there, LOOK on their website.

                  Good Luck
Thank you to the brave men and women of our great military, past, present and future for allowing my right to express my opinion and my opinion only, not representation of any company I may work for.

Who is hiring in Iraq? I applied with Sally-port as a fire inspector. I have not heard anything yet. I had an offer for Afghanistan with ITT,but I can not leave until June, so they told me to check back in May. I would rather go to Iraq.
