  • Anyone wear glasses/contact lenses while overseas?

I hear that Iraq can sometimes have some really good wind blowing the sand around for most of the day. Also with working every day and being basically on call every night, how do people wear contact lenses (dealing with the sand blowing around and not really having time off to be able to take the contacts out?)

Another question is did anyone mess with getting the special prescription lenses that fit inside the SCBA mask? If so how did it end of working out for you and where did you get them?
    Thanks.

Don't worry to much about that stuff!! You'll have time to tend to contacts/glasses when over there. Yes the wind and sand blowing around is a pain, some of the guys I worked with that wore contacts would wear there glasses on those days. But don't sweat it. Wouldn't worry to much about the glasses inserts for the mask.
