Hearing rumors that Battalion Three is no longer a Rosenbaur dealer, nor a Scott dealer. Anyone confirm?

The story that I have heard is that Battalion 3 sold/joined into a larger "group" of fire equipment suppliers, and as a result, their operation was being phased out. Not sure if the loss of Rosenbauer was prior to that process or what. A trusted source tells me that they lost Rosenbauer, Scott and Janesville. If you check Rosenbauer's site, you can see the former Batt 3 territory is now factory direct. Some of what I've heard is sketchy enough I won't elaborate on it here unless I have better info.

I got to know many of the folks at Battalion 3 when I sold Rosenbauer, and there were some pretty decent folks there. Hope everyone comes out of this okay.

Can anyone confirm this? Who would get Scott if Batt3 doesnt?

They went belly up.

They went belly up.

Come on Murphy, belly up is so negative. :D

They did merge with some other companies and were "phased out". As far as loosing the Rosenbauer, Scott and Lion lines that all happened within a week or two of being "phased out".

It would not surpise me if within the next week or two that another company came to the St. Louis area with Rosenbauer, Scott and Lion along with some faces that Batt 3 customers have seen before.

I'll second that.

Doesn't look much like a merge.

There is a new fire equipment supplier in Arnold as of yesterday afternoon, Franco Fire.
Got a call from one of there sales rep's this morning (he used to work for Batt 3).

Franco appears to be as stated, the employees of Battalion three restarting the company. No manufactures listed on their web page, etc, but the same last names of some of their people as listed for the officers of Battalion three Inc.

Pretty much just a way to keep employed, but under another name.

As long as they don't use the assets of Battalion Three to start the new business (without a legal transfer before Battalion Three had troubles) then
its probably perfectly legal. It does not appear to be any kind of merger transaction.

It is kind of interesting - on their web page it states "hold on tight, things just got interesting in Missouri and Illinois"

We were strongly looking at buying an engine from them last year - but the concerns about delivery time (Seems to be a rosenbaur problem, not a local dealer problem) and the distance for service pushed us to go with Jons in Springfield. Been happy ever since.
