Hey All I have a friend preparing for the Bates College Fire Exam, which is a video based test. Can anyone direct me towards some threads or web-sites that have info on this particular type of testing? Also, are there any books that can help him?

Tell your friend not to over prepare. I think the video test is one of the more simple tests around. You watch a video and answer questions based on the actions of the firefighters in the video. I think its a three part test with mechanical and math sections after. Don't over think your answers. Your grade is based on the "most correct" answer. Just answer the questions truthfully.

Do a search on "fireteam".

Unfortunately you'll find there won't be too much info put out. The reason for that is that the company that administers the test has candidates sign a non-disclosure statement threatening civil action if it is even discussed. There is some info on it out there though, plus you can also take the practice exam (for a fee).

Sorry there isn't much else without being ambiguous or specific.
