When will NE Florida hire again

I know we just passed this terrible amendment 1, but does anyone know if there will any hiring this year, preferably in Jacksonville, St Johns county, or Clay county.

I hear jacksonville is making calls right now. I hear St Johns is hiring too. Im out of the look for Clay, but i know they are on an aggressive plan to up minimum staffing.

I just went up to visit NE Florida this past weekend. It looked good so I made some calls today. Looks like we missed out on St. Johns...they probably won't hire until next fiscal year.

I don't really know much about that area or the "Tri-County Test" that they make you take...hopefully it's just CPAT with a MegaCode.

I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything else from NE Florida...but I think now is a bad time to be looking for a FD job in Florida. I left my last department and thought I'd be called quickly by the county...turns out there was a hiring freeze right after I quit...now I've been stuck designing websites and marketing for the past year.

The tri county test is a joke, dont sweat it.

I know Jville and St johns are hiring. Nassau only had 1 qualified person on the list to hire last time.
