Historical info on Chicago Fire Firefighters from pre 1968

I'm trying to locate and and all information on my father, who was CFD for over 20 years and left in 1968. Badge number, stations he may have been at etc. (I know he spent the bulk of his time at Engine 69 and O'Hare Airport.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've called CFD Admins and they're like "well..........try calling so and so...". Then "so and so" doesn't have a clue.

Look into the Chicago Fire Museum. They collect information about the history of CFD and may be able to point you in the right direction.
