It is with deep sorrow that we have to report a line of duty death in Scranton, Local 60. Brother James Robeson, Ladder Truck Captain, was killed while operating at a structure fire this morning. Brother Robeson leaves behind a wife and son. Please join with us in extending sympathies to the Brothers and Sister ion Scranton. More details about services will posted here as we receive them.

Initial reports are he was working from the bucket and come in contact with power lines. 3 FFs also injured at the fire. 2 Civilians killed. RIP Brother.

My deepest condolences to the Robeson family and the Scranton Fire Department for their sad loss. My thoughts are with the injured, as well.

I don't normally reply to these threadds, but Scranton is part of the area that I cover in my job. I have worked a bunch of fires there. What a great bunch of guys. They are very tight. This is going to be devestating for them.

The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 in St. Patrick's Church, Jackson Street. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
Friends may call Tuesday, 6 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m.
