Just a curious thought, I was reading the fairfax thread and I saw that the department was scaling down the classes from 6 recruit classes a year to 2 classes. With that in mind why would the department go the extra mile and recruit out of their state to get more applicants when they have an abundant of applicants already that go down to VA to test?

Make sure that we are getting the widest pool of candidates so that the best candidates can be selected.

Wow... and I'm not even in recruitment or the PIO office! :D
