Hello Firefighters around the world.
I am a Firefighter here in the UK. It's nice to be part of this online community, and i hope i can fit in nicely.
To cut to the chase folks, i'm going through the mill at the moment.
(That's an English term for being in the sh*t).
I've been a Firefighter for 15 years. As you can now guess, i've been round the block and done more than my bit for the local community.
I shall continue to do this, with the Brigade whom i love so much, and have devoted most of my working life to.
Unfortunately, my life flipped upside down, and i am currently near bankruptcy. Now, please don't cast aspersions. I picked up a huge legal bill for trying to look after one of my kids in court. (He's 10).
I won't go into it, as this is not a begging letter at all. And it's personal!
Anyway, i have launched a Firefighting blog, in an attempt to raise funds and try to keep my head above water. I have monetized the blog, and it has taken off quite well, as far as visitors and a few clicks on my ads go.
I'm using Google Adsense, and a few other things, which are now starting to pull in a few pennies. Hopefully, this will continue to increase, as time goes on. It's only two and a half months old now.
On my blog, i try to publish an online diary. Giving the readers a unique insight into what we get up to, during a normal working shift. (Our version of one of your "tours of duty").
I also offer advice and information on Recruitment, and getting through the Selection process. I offer links to products, but mainly i disuss these issues at length, for free on my daily postings.
"I even have an RSS Feed from your very good selves on my homepage!"
Anyway here's the reason i am requesting your help and assistance.
Would you be so kind as to pop on over to my blog and take a good look round for me, when you find some spare time on your'e hands.
I would like some feedback from my fellow Firefighters, on the content and appearance. Please let me know what you think i could do to improve the blog. Let me know what's interesting and what's isn't, stuff like that.
I'm not an internet genius, and i am comparatively new in this "blog" World we now live in. You guy's here appear to be pretty 'savvy' with all of this.
Of course, and i have to ask, as i'm totally up to my neck in it. If you feel like you could help me out by having a good look round. (hope you know what i mean) I would be indebted to you all. Every penny counts for me at this moment in time.
This posting, is in no way meant to offend anyone. If it does, then i would like to offer my humble apologies. But, i have no choice and i have to try to keep a roof over my family before anything else.
Your feedback will help me improve, which will get me more visitors, and your clicks, though pennies (or cents) will eventually add up.
Please tell your friends about my blog, they may even find my diary quite interesting.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this posting.
If you can.....you can, and if you can't.......you can't!

P.S. I nearly forgot.
