As a "Local Area Resident" I would be willing to offer my services as a delivery boy, but suspect that while I have appropriate ID etc, such an action would be turned away. I agree its a noble gesture, but not very actionable. :(
In the past, while on overseas deployments, high schools have sent care packages and letters to us. This even happened during the height of 9-11, and OP APPOLLO, but that was "then"..... {and in Canada}
