View Full Version : Death of a DC area buff legend and Fairfax County dispatch legend

It is with great sadness that the leadership of the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics informs you of the death of Retired Local 2068 brother Wesley Gerald. Brother Gerald passed away Sunday morning after a long, but bravely fought, illness.

Wes was a dedicated buff and excellent photographer even before he could drive. He used to con his mother into driving him to fires in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County, VA just so that he could take pictures.

Wes was also a dispatcher and dispatch supervisor at the Fairfax County Public Safety Communications Center and the webmaster of www.ffxfire.com before he became too sick to do either.

Wednesday 11/7 2 - 4 pm and 6-8 pm

Service:
Lincolnia United Methodist Church
6300 Little River Turnpike
Annandale, VA
Friday, 11/9 at 1100 hours

Internment to follow:
St. Paul's Cemetery
on Lincolnia Rd west of Meeting House Way

Reception Immediately following internment:
Fire Station 8
7128 Columbia Pike
Annandale, VA
