I will be moving to the Denver Area In January or February, 2008. I will be working in Greenwood Village. I am looking for a Volunteer Fire Dept to join. I would like to be 45 minutes or less to drive to work.
I am FF2, and NREMT-B. FF1 and 2 is IFSAC and PROBOARD. I am also certified EPA HAZMAT TECH.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

I have a daughter in 1st grade so a town with decent schools would be a great plus....

Thanks

you could volunteer at wheat ridge just like the person said before also look into franktown fire, southwest adams, federal heights, fairmount fire in golden, the depts in boulder also have volunteer opps, just look on line for colorado fire departments and look around the denver area, you can be just about anywhere in the metro area in 30 mins or less, good luck

Thank you for the information. I'll let you know how it goes, or if I have further questions

I tested for wheat ridge last year. The written was extremly hard for what they offer, the agility was ok, but the oral boards were very confusing.

They come across as very progressive but from what I can tell its not that way.

Golden has a much better program if you are looking to volunteer.
