2006 Award Numbers

Does anyone still have 2006 Award Numbers but not awarded in the supplement round? How many more rounds of 2006 supplement will there be?

We're still waiting and wondering what's going on. :confused:

All the money has to be awarded before the end of the month if I understand correctly. What's another couple of weeks when you're already talking about a year and a half wait, right?

Our 07 app was also very close to our 06. In fact, they decided to award a RIT pack from our 07 app that was not part of our 06:cool:

They DID reduce us on the # and cost of SCBA, however. We appealed the cost reduction and were allowed an increase (offered 4.5K, negotiated up to 5K)

I want to believe that anybody that has a number and has answered they would accept is going to get the award. Keep the faith! Still a couple more weeks. They did the same trade up and down with us, so if you went through all that, you gotta believe it is going to happen!

2005 supplementals went into October last year, so there is still time. The supplemental awards are usually based on refused/returned funds so they sorta have to wait it out to see exactly how much money is left. Another issue is that they have to have a "buffer" for appeals and such. They can't award 100% of the funds and then have appeals for more money, because it would all be gone. I'd expect to see at least another round or two.

Got a call from FEMA this afternoon (Sunday:eek: ) the grants management spec. wanted to know if we were still interested in receiving the '06 grant for a pumper, if matching funds were available and what our FDID/NFIRS reporting number was. Was very surprised that someone was working on a Sunday! He said this was no indication of an award, just needed the info in order to go to the next step. Still have '06 award # listed on 1199A:)

Sounds like you got a follow up verbal "10Q" call. If that's the case, you might see some coin this week. They are obviously looking to push the awards out if they called rather than e-mailed. I know you said you got the 10Qs before, so because of the delay they are probably simply confirming you're still interested. ;)

We got our Q's back in July and had to send them back twice since they didn't receive the answers the first time. I hope we will hear something soon on our new pumper application! A year and a half is a long time to wait, but if we get awarded it will have been worth it:)
