Number 1: Our 1199A from our 2005 award is showing a 2007 award number. Is there something I am supposed to send back or does the 2005 1199A sufice? Its probably been discussed here before but I couldnt find the info.

Number 2: What time on Friday's do the Feds usually post the new award announcements?

Our buisness meeting is this Friday. I would love to be able to announce the grant at the meeting. I guess I am just impatient. I cant wait to get rid of the P.O.S. 1968 pumper...:D

The 1199A is one of the indicators of a potential award. You still have one more step to go, the 10 q's have to be answered before an award. The 10 q's will come in the email.

As for Friday, you will not have an award so there is nothing to announce at the business meeting.

It's looking good...you will be replacing that '68. Congrats :)

A little advice.... If you get reduced on the amount, take it! We send and called to ask for clarification on the reduction once we got our 10 questions. One week later, our 2007 reference number was gone from our 2004 award!! Sent an email and they said since we didn't accept the reduction, our grant processing was going to be suspended! Asking for clarification and declining the reduction are TWO different things in my book!

Anyway, congrats on replacing the old truck~!

Any time there is a reduction notice that you do not agree with, you have the right to appeal it. Appeal first, return the q's after the final outcome. The issue is that you answered the questions first refusing the reduction, hence the process was suspended. Contact the Grant Management Specialist on the bottom of the question page and plead your case; that you made a mistake and hopefully they will reconsider.

We never refused the reduction. Just wanted it clarified. After hearing nothing, we got nervous and sent the 10q's back accepting the award.

Thanks for the reply. We received our 10 questions in early August and about a week or so later I found the 2007 award number on the 1199A. I guess we just need to be patient.

Patients stink!!!! If you want to inform the department of what is going on, go ahead and let them know what you are seeing. Inform them that this is not a definite, but begin planning for the possible upcoming purchases. Just make sure your competetive bids are dated after your award date. Let them know that you are 98% of the way, but the other 2% is not a definite and it will take some time until this is announced. Congratulations!!

Not if you can't properly meet your performance objective. You're having a bad "experience" with your app/grant. But if you need to appeal do so.

Our 2007 app for pumper tanker was reduced from $301900 to $200000. appealed and DHS agreed to $298400. Still waiting for the formal announcement. Have told the dept what is going on (so they will know we even made an app) and what grant is for prior to reading about it in the local bugle. They will be getting lots of questions and noone wants to look like and uniformed idiot in such a situation.
