My department is looking into getting a dual purpose gear/hose dryer. We are looking at the Circul-Air Dual Purpose Hose/Turnoutgear Dryer (http://www.circul-air-corp.com/products_dryer.php) and the UniMac Fireman's Turnout Gear Drying Cabinet (http://www.uniwash.com/Products/prod_details_wide.asp?Model=UW-AGU&ProdCat0=32&ProdCat1=0). I was wondering if anyone uses one of these units and if they could give me any input as to how well they work and if you like them or not. If you can recommend any other one, please do.

Thanks

We have the hose dryer. It works pretty good for hose and if you use it without heat works pretty good for gear. It is better than just hanging it for sure. The unit that we have is older than anyone even knows, but it still works.

We have a six station version of thiis:

Works great, will take 6 wet sets of gear and completly dry them in less than 2 hours.

Be prepared for a huge hit to your electric bill, though! :D
