This is our first year applying for the SAFER grant. We applied for recuritment funding. Does anyone know when the SAFER grants are normally awarded?

Probably October/November before they even start, and that's an optimistic thought since they started later this year with the delay in AFG.

Submitted our Safer App this morning #524 I'm surprised there weren't more.

I submitted app #344 Tuesday around 5pm CST.

I've got one more to submit tomorrow, curious to see what number it will be.

Went up quite a bit today; submitted #896 this morning at 0153.

By the way, 53% less applications were submitted in 2006 vs. 2005 - it will be interesting to see if we have even less this year.

In 2006 there were 1,727 applications and 258 awards thusfar.

Submitted #905 at 0400 local, the website was down from 0200 to about 0340. I'm beat, but I didn't want to be trying this with minutes to spare like I usually do.
