I just graduated the DOD fire academy how do i go about getting hired on at a dept

Enter firefighter or Fire Protection (It's an air force thing) and search.
There are a ton of fed tech jobs out there.

Don't forget that there are many FF and ARFF jobs avalable at the state level for Air National Guard units (Full time Chief is always a Fed Tech, the rest are always staties:
