Couple Places to look:
www.careerbuilder.com
www.emsfirerescuejobs.com
www.911hotjobs.com
www.mpffu.org (Michigan Professional Firefighters Union site)
Good luck with your searches, but dont be picky, apply everywhere, the spot you least expect could be the one you get. It happened to me.

hope you aren't looking for full time???? If so hope you got ur medic and everything already... sorry just alittle comic relief
ok yea as they said on a more serious note those are good places. Also try Firerecruit.com its does have a fee and you can always try 911hotjobs.com i believe it is?? Try the firehouse-jobs,and thats all ive got last i heard Warren County was doing a joint testing and it may have been Deerborn wear taking apps for fulltime?? not sure the ending dates on those off the top of my head or if they are even current still i know it was within last month or 2 tho
Well best of luck jobs in Mi are hard by but they do come around... I know there is plenty of part time firefighter "POC" if thats something your interested in.

Next question i have for you is... Are you in MI already? and either way What area? Would you want to be on Lake Mi, The UP? Detriot area? Kazoo?
Reason I ask is cuz im from Muskegon and there are alot of good part time departments right around here where you'll be able to be put through your training up to your Medical First Responder. Then you can attend several schools to continue ur medical training if you want I would recommend that myself.
MI seems to have alot of part time department your going to need to just do your homework from here and see where you feel youd fit best or enjoy life most.
Well best of luck

Yes I live in Michigan right now Im down in the metro detriot area.....I love it on the westside of the state, I have FF1 hazmat awareness and Emt-b already and I go back to school on the aug 29th to get FF2 and hazmat operations and in Jan I start Paramedic school....
I would like to try and find a part-time down here for now then try and find a full-time out that way when I get everything but Im going to leave all options open Im going to have to take a look and see whats out there in your neck of the woods tonite thanks....

Ok, yea look everywhere you could be interested in. Also just keep this in mind Michigan FF 1&2 pretty much are useless anywhere else... some states will allow you to take a challenge test at there standards. Many will make you start from scratch from what ive seen. Such as Texas ive been doing some studying up on and such they approved me to challenge there firefighter 1&2, Awareness & Ops and Hazmat Tech. But When i look at the testing sheets compared to what we have to do here in MI its makes ours look like a joke. Alittle disappointed in the training council, but not to start that here. Anyway yea sounds like youve got a great start and just keep going is all I can recommend!!!
Do you mind me asking where you are attending classes for FF2 and then ur Medic?
good luck

Im going to schoolcraft college for my FF2 and Im working towards a fire science Assoicate degree there....
For my Medic Im going to go though HVA (Huron Valleys Ambulance)...
That is very disappointing that Michigan FF 1&2 isn't accpeted in more place, well hopefully I can find a job here then....
