Took it, passed, ranked 57. I have NO idea if that's going to get me on any department's lists. Anyone know?

I emailed Marilee at the Bates Fire Service office. She'll help you out.

I did email her and she told me that it is up to the departments now to contact me.

Ask her what Rank you are out of the candidates that took the June Joint Placement Exam. She'll tell you. BTW, just got a call from Bellingham Fire for their Oral Board at the end of the month.

Sage word of advice that was given to me - don't develop a reputation with the HR staff.

If they want you to move forward in the process, they'll call you. Don't stand on desks to get information that isn't gettting to you fast enough.

Its a long process. Its significantly shorter if the HR/Admin staff at the respective agencies you're applying for earmark your file. And believe me, it happens. Act as if the eyes of the world are on you at all times.
