Yes in Perrysburg you have to be a medic.
I am not sure on the number to be hired but we potentially have one or two openings in the next month. There is also plans to hire 2 additional firefighter/paramedics next fiscal year. We will also be staffing a second station in the next 1-2 years.

i would suggest getting on as many eligibility lists as possible, espically in the ne ohio area. at the very least its practice for other exams. with the amount of guys across the region that are in the drop program now, you never know when any given city is going to have any number of openings since these guys havent been retiring for the last 3 years and can go anytime within the next 5 or so. many departments have 5-10+ guys in the drop.
bay village is east of cleveland
twinsburg is south east

Yea, i signed up to take Akron's test. I also just received my results from Elyria. Anyone else take Elyria's? I am curious as to what got people into like the top 15, since I did well but still fell back spots after my interview.
Any input would be great.

possibly highland hts, and warren?
Wentz, instead of relying on info from here i think youd have alot better luck collecting all the area newspaper websites and bookmarking their jobs section and searching firefighter everyweek. most are updated very frequently. thats what i did when i was testing.

Highland Heights is hiring if you're already Paramedic certified.
On a random side note, there's a Wackenhut Security Services ad in the Cincinnati Enquirer hiring lvl 2 fire/paramedic certed firefighters for 20 DoD sites over in Iraq, pay starting off at 90k per year.
And don't forget to fill out your Toledo interest card if you haven't already. I think that test is coming up soon.
