I was wondering if anyone knew if Chicago would be hiring in around 3 years from now. I am starting a fire suppression program in June of 2008. The program lasts 2 years and after that i plan on going home to work for about 3 months to get some money up for a place. By time all of this is done what are the chances of getting hired in Chicago?

I would advise you to page down this forum and look for Chicago fire exam, March 2006 and start reading. Then you should have an idea. It doesn't look good.

guys got that right, haha. it aint looking good. hell, even the last test they had was what? the first test they had in HOW MANY YEARS?! and they still arent jumping on it...i'll be fourth to say its not looking good for a new CFD test to come out....there are alot of tests coming out though in other cities (alot have also passed), so if you want, look them up and travel...if Chicago is your dream (i dont blame you on that), then your better off watching "Backdraft" for now, sorry to say

How come Chicago isn't hiring? I'm not really familiar with them and their hiring practices.
