Hartford Hirings???

I talked to personnell last week and they said everyone would get letters for chiefs interviews. They said letters would be out in three different batches. Does anyone know if the letters are organized in some way (rankings or alphabetical?)? Also how many are left in the process?

The batches are according to your score. THe first batch is 85 and above, the second 79-84 and the last one is 78 and below. I believe there is about 67 people on the list still. Did you apply?

top 34 people got letters. cut off was somewhere around 89. My friend had an 87 he did not get a letter.

I stand corrected. I am with Scotts on this one, if you have to arms and two legs you are going to get on the job sometime over the life of the list.

Got a letter today stating I wasn't selected to be interviewed this time because I scored to low but am still on the list. Everyone that didn't get a letter inviting them for an interview should have gotten the same letter.

Yup, got the same letter last week, anyone know for SURE how many are on this "list" and do you really think it will get to everyone? I got a buddy on in Hartford and he doesnt think so due to the fact they probably wont have enough money. Just curious

No one knows for sure (except the FD and theyre not telling), i heard 67 and 88 for numbers on the list. When i looked at the budget for the fd a couple of months back it said there was no changes from the previous year. That only leads me to believe that there is money for 20 in Jan of the new year. Thats what was given this year avail jan 07. Thats just a guess though.

Last time I heard, there were 20 that got hired and most were relatives of FF already on the job there, I could be wrong, you always hear this and that so. Just letting you know what I heard

20 got conditional offers pending backround check and passing the academy of course. I heard some didn't pass this p[ortion of the backround though so they may have to interview more. Also talked to someone who got an offer who knows nobody and has no experience and he said they don't have a start date yet.
